1. Our Commitment to Transparency
ZT Nation, LLC ("ZT Nation," "we," "us," or "our") uses artificial intelligence (AI) systems throughout the ZT Nation platform (the "Platform") to improve the home service experience for both homeowners and contractors. We believe you have the right to know when you are interacting with AI, how AI influences decisions that affect you, and what safeguards we have in place. This disclosure explains our AI systems, their purposes, their limitations, and your rights.
2. AI Systems We Use
| AI System | Purpose | What It Does | Human Oversight |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Estimation Engine | Project cost estimation | Generates preliminary cost estimates based on project descriptions, property data, local market rates, and historical pricing. Estimates are starting points — final pricing is determined by the contractor. | Contractors review and adjust all estimates before they are finalized |
| Contractor Matching | Referral matching | Matches service requests to qualified contractors based on trade specialty, geographic coverage, availability, compliance status, and performance history. | Matching criteria are reviewed regularly; contractors can set their own availability and service areas |
| AI Chatbot | Customer and contractor support | Provides automated responses to common questions, guides users through service requests, and assists with account management. Clearly identified as AI in all interactions. | Users can request human support at any time; complex issues are escalated to dedicated support |
| Content Generation | Marketing and communications | Generates service descriptions, marketing content, and communication templates. All AI-generated content is reviewed for compliance before publication. | All content passes through compliance validation before use |
| Compliance Monitoring | Regulatory compliance | Monitors contractor licensing and insurance status, flags expiring credentials, and validates that Platform content complies with legal and regulatory requirements. | Compliance decisions are reviewed by the compliance team; automated actions are limited to notifications and status updates |
| Bias Monitoring | Fairness and equity | Monitors AI outputs for potential bias in contractor matching, pricing estimates, and content generation to ensure fair treatment across all demographics and geographies. | Bias reports are reviewed regularly; corrective actions are implemented when bias is detected |
| AI Research Army | Market intelligence | A network of specialized AI agents that monitors public data sources (Reddit communities, news, government databases, industry reports) to identify market trends, competitor activity, regulatory changes, and service opportunities across all 37 service categories. All findings include confidence scores and source attribution per C64. | Findings are validated through cross-agent corroboration. LLM-only insights are capped at 60% confidence. No finding is presented as fact without source attribution. Data collection complies with robots.txt and platform Terms of Service. |
3. How You Know It's AI
We clearly identify AI-generated content and AI interactions throughout the Platform:
- Chatbot conversations: AI chatbot responses are labeled with an "AI" indicator. The chatbot identifies itself as AI at the start of each conversation.
- Estimates: AI-generated estimates are labeled as "AI Estimate" or "Preliminary Estimate" and include a disclaimer that final pricing is determined by the contractor.
- Content: AI-generated marketing content is reviewed for accuracy but may not carry individual labels. All Platform content is subject to our compliance framework regardless of origin.
4. AI Limitations
Our AI systems have limitations that you should be aware of:
- Estimates are not quotes: AI-generated cost estimates are preliminary and based on available data. Actual costs may vary based on site conditions, material prices, and contractor assessment. Always obtain a formal quote from the contractor before committing to work.
- AI can make errors: AI systems may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate responses. We continuously improve our systems but cannot guarantee error-free operation.
- Not a substitute for professional judgment: AI recommendations do not replace the professional judgment of licensed contractors, legal advisors, or other qualified professionals.
- Data dependency: AI outputs are only as good as the data they are based on. Inaccurate or incomplete input data may lead to inaccurate outputs.
5. Data Used by AI Systems
Our AI systems use the following types of data:
- Project descriptions and property information you provide
- Publicly available market data and pricing information
- Historical Platform data (anonymized and aggregated where possible)
- Contractor profiles, credentials, and performance metrics
- Geographic and regulatory data
We do not use your personal data to train AI models for purposes unrelated to the Platform's services. See our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum for details on how your data is handled.
6. Compliance Safeguards
All AI systems on the Platform operate within a comprehensive compliance framework:
- 75 compliance constraints: All AI-generated content is validated against 75 hard compliance constraints covering legal accuracy, brand governance, fair housing, anti-discrimination, consumer protection, AI research data integrity (C64), agent prompt governance (C65), and research army operational standards (C66)
- Bias monitoring: Automated systems continuously monitor for demographic, geographic, and economic bias in AI outputs
- Human review: Critical AI decisions (deplatforming, compliance violations, pricing anomalies) are reviewed by human operators before action is taken
- Audit trails: All AI decisions are logged for accountability and review
7. Your Rights Regarding AI
- Right to human review: You may request human review of any AI-generated decision that affects your account, pricing, or service experience
- Right to explanation: You may request an explanation of how an AI system reached a particular output or recommendation
- Right to opt out of AI chat: You may request to interact with human support instead of the AI chatbot at any time
- Right to contest: You may contest any AI-generated estimate, match, or recommendation through our dedicated support channels
